Camera, only if you choose

Camera-assisted practice is optional and requires your browser’s permission. When enabled, the demo processes camera frames locally to estimate hand positions, steer an on-screen cursor, and compare mapped reaches with your saved sequence. Camera permission is requested only when you choose a camera start button. ChairFly.ai does not record or upload your camera video, photos, or continuous hand-tracking data. In the flow lab, only the three positions you deliberately map are saved locally, with their labels and any source note.

ChairFly.ai does not request microphone access or record audio. Optional read-aloud uses a local English speech-synthesis voice when one is available; it does not send text to a cloud voice service. Spoken explanations are self-checked, not automatically graded. You can revoke camera permission in your browser’s site settings.

Progress stored in this browser

ChairFly.ai uses your browser’s local storage for lesson version, completion time, selections, hint usage, and self-check summaries. It keeps up to 30 lesson summaries. The experimental flow lab separately keeps one set of three mapped positions, labels, and your optional source note. Its session movement trail and per-run reach history are not saved. These records are not an online account and do not sync between devices. Someone using the same browser profile may be able to see them. The aviation task studio saves its latest debrief, including decisions, input method and spoken self-checks. The panel rehearsal separately saves its latest debrief. The instructor desk saves assignments, imported debriefs, and review notes in this browser. Downloading a debrief saves a file on your device; ChairFly.ai does not send it to your instructor automatically.

You can remove them using the clear-data control in the practice area, or by clearing ChairFly.ai’s site data in your browser. Clearing local data does not delete hosting logs described below.

Assignment and debrief links

Sharing is optional and manual. An assignment link contains the selected exercise, optional student alias, due date, and note. A debrief link contains the exercise version, timings, input method, selections, hints, and self-checks. It never includes camera video or audio. Anyone with a link can read its contents; the contents are encoded, not encrypted.

The shared data is in the link fragment, after the #. Browsers do not send that fragment as part of the ordinary page request to ChairFly.ai’s host. Your browser history, clipboard, messaging service, browser extensions, and anyone you share it with may retain the complete link. Use an alias and leave sensitive information out of notes. Share only through a channel you trust.

Opening a link allows the recipient’s browser to read the shared information. Imported instructor records can be saved locally. There is no automatic delivery, online roster, authenticated sender, or remote deletion. Clearing your copy does not remove another person’s copy or a link you already sent.

Downloads needed for hand tracking

The optional camera feature downloads MediaPipe runtime files from jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net) and a hand-tracking model from Google Cloud Storage (storage.googleapis.com). Those services receive ordinary download requests, which can include your IP address and browser information. Camera frames are not included in those requests.

Your browser may cache these files. Local camera processing does not mean that opening the website or downloading a model is offline.

Website hosting

ChairFly.ai is hosted on Vercel. Loading the website sends normal web requests to the hosting service. Hosting and security logs may contain request details such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information, and technical errors.

The current demo has no advertising trackers, product analytics, or session-replay tools. It does not offer accounts, collect payment details, or upload rehearsal recordings.
